Sony Camera - The Concept Looks Amazing

At this weeks Photo Marketing Association Exhibition and Conference (PMA 2010) Sony showcased a concept for an ultra-compact camera offering the ability to swap out lenses in the same way that you would with a fully blown professional DSLR camera. With a newly-developed CMOS image sensor in the form of the 'Exmor APS HD' the camera will offer superior image quality over it's standard compact counterparts.

The design of the camera is what wowed us most, its simple yet revolutionary, if this camera ever gets released and is as good as the current Sony Alpha DSRL range then this camera is literally going to fly off the shelves.

The camera will also be able record HD quality video. Coupled with professional quality interchangeable lenses, this combinational would offer a cheaper alternative to the recent influx of video capable DSLR cameras that have been flooding the market over the last couple of years.

The option to carry several different lenses, whilst taking up considerably less space in your bag, will appeal a wide variety of customers, from the budding journalists and media students with limited budgets to the seasoned travellers with precious little storage space.

If Sony can deliver both quality and value for money for customers with little space and limited funds this Sony camera could become a huge hit with those who fall in-between the amateur and professional photographer brackets. With entry level DSLR cameras fetching prices in the region of £500 or more, this new ultra-compact solution would offer similar results for considerably less money.
